Therapeutic Visitation
Therapeutic visitation integrates supervised access with therapeutic intervention, employing DOFS clinicians who skillfully assess communication appropriateness. DOFS clinicians guide families in navigating diverse situations during visitation, fostering an environment tailored to address case-related issues raised by the child. It's important to note that therapeutic visitation, court-ordered by the Court, isn't family therapy but endeavors to create a therapeutic space for addressing specific concerns that may arise during these sessions. Our agency serves as a 3rd third party provider as written in court order.
-
Supervised Visitation
Supervised visitation provides a secure setting for ongoing parent-child interaction, ensuring a neutral environment. This precaution is implemented by the Court when safety concerns necessitate supervised contact, maintaining a protective space for the child-parent relationship. Our agency serves as a 3rd third party provider as written in court order.

Parenting Classes
Parenting classes are educational programs designed to provide parents with knowledge, skills, and strategies to navigate the challenges of raising children. These classes cover a range of topics, including child development, effective communication with children, discipline techniques, and fostering positive relationships within the family. The goal is to equip parents with the tools and understanding they need to nurture their children's well-being and promote a healthy family environment. Parenting classes often cater to different stages of child development and specific parenting challenges.
Our Parenting course follows the Adult Adolescent Parenting Inventory (AAPI-2) with pre and post observation. Dependency and Family court approves this parenting course.
-
CONSULTATION FOR CLOSED DEPENDENCY AND FAMILY COURT CASES
DOFS consultation offers a comprehensive review of the latest court order through either in-person or telephonic sessions, providing a thorough assessment derived from extensive expertise in dependency and family court matters. It's important to note that DOFS does not offer legal advice; instead, all insights are shared based on practical experience and knowledge.
